The butterfly has left the cocoon...

....Nate continues his Pinellas County tour. He gets comments everywhere we go. Yesterday, everyone at Publix thought we was just adorable and today it took me 15 minutes to get out of the bathroom at Costco because all the women in there stopped me to talk about Nate. I don't mind at all. I am happy to talk about him and All Children's and what a great place it is.

The last 2 nights, Nate slept a 6 and 5 hour block Thursday night and a 4 and 5 1/2 hour block last night. I wonder about how he will do tonight since he slept most of the day today. We can't complain- we are not too sleep deprived with him. I think the nurses in the NICU got him trained a bit for us! Thank you , thank you, thank you!

Here are a few pictures from the last 2 days. He has started to use his tummy time mat- he doesn't like it, but he is moving his head and neck and arms like he is supposed to while on it, so I will keep using it!

  1. The Little Family rocks! I'm so happy that Nate's been doing well. John was on room air for the first time yesterday and he's been doing okay with 6 of 8 feeds. Hopefully, he'll keep tolerating it and get to come home soon.
We miss you but so glad to hear all is going well.
Tell your parents we said hi!

    Love,
